get enough of those details right that people can buy into the show. barack obama is not watching the show because it's a brilliant portrayal of the c.i.a. it gets enough of the details what it feels like to be in those situations. i have no idea why i like the show -- >> i think it's less about the details. michael described it as it's not a palemic and i think audiences smell propaganda but if you can introduce the complexity of what they do. "24" was not about a good choice and bad choice but the better of two bad choices. if there was a formula of "24" that would have been it. and i think these people saw and president obama sees as well there is something about the presentation of the complexity of some of the things that people who are charged with these jobs have to deal with. writing it and imagining it makes me glad it's not my job just imagining how tough some of these decisions must be makes you grateful. >> the verse that we show in frost nixon "the queen" and that is how much responsibility you take with that, especially when art itself is working in metaphors. when p

united is a disaster, and i talked to jim messina, who was so instrumental in the obama re-election organization. he feels as though -- i hope i am not speaking out of school to say this -- he feels we need a constitutional amendment to protect voters rights and to also protect our collections from the pollution of this amazing amount of money. i agree with bonnie. i do not know if it is an option, but the money is a distraction. it does not to give us good information about who these people are. now, noam chomsky says that the size of a piece of information is to make it as short as it is today is an effective way of censoring, is a censorship to shorten our pieces of information, because it gives us the opportunity to say something that people already know. but the amount of time that it takes to contradict a sort of known perceived consensus of reality and perceived wisdom to disassembled that in to build into someone's mind in an argument an alternative way of seeing things, it just takes much too long for the way we communicate today. i do not know what to do about that. one of

obama, you had better think twice. thank you. guest: you were right that houses were overpriced in california, but they were overpriced before the bubble. houses in north carolina might cost you $600,000 before the bubble, $1.5 million at the height of the bubble, and now down to $400,000 -- four times as expensive as they would begin south carolina, which does not have land use restrictions. host: denver, colorado, ron. republican women. -- republican. caller: good morning. it seems like the community reinvestment act that was passed in 1975 more or less laid the foundation for the housing bubble as that was the beginning of the sub-prime. that evolves and was expanded upon. business took advantage of it. because of that we get the ball. the -- bubble. the cra is still on the books, and sub-prime loans are still being made. i was wondering, do you think a major part of the foundation was the community reinvestment act and ended should be eliminated? he called the community reinvestment act, i do not think it had as big or roll was people like to say. housing was already expensive

why we are facing this fiscal cliff right now. nancy pelosi, harry reid, for six years they knew this was coming. last term of president obama, there was no budget passed. nobody is talking, the liberal media is not talking. they are hiding the bills that were passed in the house to be tabled and never brought up and never be accountable for. i hold the republicans accountable, too, because they did not step up to the mike and point the finger towards the blame. i have another question to ask. obama asked for complete congressional powers about being able to pull up and give any amount of money that he wanted, taking those powers away from the house. i think that is completely ludicrous. as far as the last caller asking out the democrats and republicans, that me see, if the democrats put a bill together and the republicans don't vote for it, they are mad at it, but if the republicans put a bill and let's say cave to the democrats, there is no bipartisan. i have never seen the democrats actually cave and take care of the fiscal cliff in the amount of debt that we have is completel

democratic president, president obama has not left a ideological format of what it means to be a democrat. there is -- there has been a fear that with the party going so big and republicans moving to the right, there could be a battle for the soul of the party in the next four or eight years. do you see a post-obama age -- a civil war-like occasion happening? >> we just pushed the post-obama age off by four years.
